JUSTIN ABEDIN received his Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto in 1995. During his time there, he studied with the legendary Canadian guitarist, Lorne Lofsky. Justin sought out and studied with international guitar masters Tuck Andress (Tuck and Patti) and 8-string virtuoso Charlie Hunter. (Blue Note recording artist.)
Justin maintains an incredibly demanding performance and recording schedule. His ability to create ambient textures, melodies and rhythmic grooves in almost any genre has established Justin as one of Canada's most sought after musician,songwriter and producer. His talents are featured with an endless discography that includes award winning artists Snow, Jacksoul, Damhnait Doyle, Ashley MacIssac and Wave - not to mention television and radio jingles for Tim Hortons, Milk and Hockey Night in Canada.
Justin designed his unique 8-string guitar with luthier Russ Lackey. Playing chords, bass lines, counter-melodies, solos, and percussive sounds simultaneously on his 8-string guitar, Justin creates a myriad of contrapuntal textures. He produced the duo's first album TOURISTS IN MY LIFE in 1998, WILD WOLF for the Solitudes music label in 2001and "LIES AND ACCUSATIONS" in late 2002.
